Pre-requisite:

Step 2: You should Backup all apps on your device, unrooted users can follow this method procedure to backup apps. If you have already rooted your device then use Titanium to Backup and restore apps and cache data.

Step 3: You should enable USB debugging on your device, to activate USB Debug go to “Settings>Developer options” and check the USB debug option box. Problem enabling USB Debugging you can follow article on How to enable USB debugging on Jelly Bean, Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread.

Step 4: There should be 50% or more amount of battery juice on your device. To know how much charge your device is having you can use our tutorial on how to get battery percentage on Status bar.

Step 5: You should disable security apps and programs like Antivirus and Firewall on your Android device as they may interrupt the procedure.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini

Step1 – Download the CF Auto Root zip file.

Step 2 – Extract the zip contents and then save the CF Auto Root tar.md5 file on your computer

Step 3 – You must also download ODIN 3.09 and extract the contents of this zip file and save them on your PC.

Step 4 – Power off your Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini and boot the device in Android Download Mode

Step 5 – Launch the ODIN 3.09 exe on your PC

Step 6 – Use the original USB data cable and connect your Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini phone with your PC

Step 7 – Wait for ODIN to detect the Smartphone and then continue to the next step

Step 8 – If your device is not detected by ODIN, then you need to re-install the Samsung USB Drivers

Step 9 – Return to ODIN window and click the AP button

Step 10 – Load the CF Auto Root tar.md5 file and verify if the Re-Partition option is disabled; don’t change any other default settings of ODIN;

Step 11 – Hit the Start button to begin the root process for your Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini Smartphone and don’t press any buttons until the root is achieved.

Step 12 – After root is complete you will notice that you’re the handset has rebooted and that ODIN finally displays the ‘PASS’ alert;
